Crocker (Lucretia) is born in Barnstable.

Lucretia Crocker graduates from the Massachusetts Normal School in 1850, teaches there and at Antioch College, then returns to Boston in 1859 to work in the Boston public schools. Crocker dramatically reforms science education in the schools, is elected to the Boston School Committee in 1873,* serves on the School Committee (1875-1876), and becomes the first woman supervisor in the Boston public schools in 1876. She lives at 40 Rutland Square from approximately 1871 until her death in 1886.
